If you choose to do some or all of the packing yourself, here’s how to make the process easier:

• Start Early: Begin with items you use less frequently, like seasonal decorations or guest room items.
• Be Prepared: Have almost everything packed and ready to go when our movers arrive. Only leave out essentials you’ll need the night before and the day of the move.
• Don’t Overpack: Keep boxes under 50 pounds to prevent injuries and make handling easier.
• Keep it Together: Pack similar items together and clearly label boxes with their contents and destination room.
• Secure and Cushion: Remove fragile items from drawers, wind and secure electrical cords, and use plenty of cushioning material like packing paper or bubble wrap.

• Kitchen: We carefully wrap dishes, glassware, and silverware, using dish packs and plenty of cushioning. Pots, pans, and small appliances are packed securely in appropriately sized boxes.
• Bedrooms & Bathrooms: We pack clothes, linens, and personal items with care. Hanging clothes can be transported in wardrobe boxes. We also offer mattress cartons for added protection. Toiletries are secured to prevent leaks.
• Garage & Storage Areas: We organize and pack tools, equipment, and other items, ensuring safe transport. We properly prepare items like lawnmowers by draining fluids and disassembling parts as needed.
• Living Room & Home Office: We protect furniture with shrink wrap and padding. Electronics are carefully packed, and cords are secured. We also offer specialized packing for pianos and other large or delicate items.
• Valuables: We take extra care when packing delicate items and recommend that you personally transport irreplaceable or high-value possessions.
